Fashion too Forward?

Meet 10 year old French model Thylane Blondeau. These photos were featured in a spread in Vogue and have set the world by storm. So many people are upset that this little girl is portrayed wearing high heels and lipstick while posing provocatively for the camera. One photo was even done topless.

No one can deny that little Thylane is beautiful and is budding with incredible talent...but come on man. A topless 10 year old? The fact that there are pervy grown men out there getting off on her pictures makes my stomach turn. Under no circumstances should a 10 yr old be sexy. Im sure there are tasteful ways in which Thylane could nurture her talent until she is old enough to accept these sorts of jobs. In a world full of sin I would hope that a parent would attempt to protect his or her child's innocence for as long as possible.

What do you guys think? Would you be okay with your little girl doing racy photoshoots if it meant a life of fame and fortune for both you and her?

***This story was featured on Good Morning America. I heard about Thylane from Necole Bitchie.

    Where the hell is her mother? Raking in all the profits, I suppose. I would NEVER in a million years let my daughter pose like that or model at 10. That's a form of labor, isn't it? This is so wrong on so many levels! I thought vogue had more class than that. It's really disappointing that they would feature a topless 10 year old...ugh. I'd better stop writing because this just makes me sick.

  3. yes she is an absolutely beautiful girl but i would NEVER let my daughter do that. they could have made it fun and cute without selling sex. i would have loved a cute circus theme where i'm seeing her have fun like a 10 year old should. i don't even want to read vogue anymore. can't believe it.

    love, little.

  4. Um...I think it's ok as long as its tastefully done... *prepares to be shouted down* I know that 10 is young, but modelling is modelling, and parents advocating a 16 year old to do those kind of shoots, seems the same as a 10 year old in my opinion, if I didn't want my daughter to pose topless, I wouldn't feel better if she was older or younger doing it.

  5. @Rose from Rosedale i agree. little girls look so grown nowadays! its ridiculous. and then parents get mad when grown men try to have relationships with these girls! what do you expect?? she looks like a grown woman! are you really that surprised that 30 yr old men are interested in your grown ass 13 yr old?!

    @azu i had the EXACT same reaction. i dont think there is a tasteful way in which you can display a topless child.

    @Dr. LiL agreed! lol

    @Little a lot of people are reacting the same way you are---boycott vogue. i dont read it now so there is no need for me to do so lol, but people are seriously upset about this!

    @Kam i think 16 is too young to do those kinds of shoots also. a child is a child to me and i wouldnt want grown men looking at my little girl like she was a woman. i would feel more comfortable if my daughter was an adult who chose to do a tasteful topless shoot because she is a woman, and its okay for people to see and treat her as one. when you act like a grown woman you get treated like a grown woman by grown men...a responsibility that a child shouldnt have to me.

  6. That girl is without a doubt going to grow up to be a gorgeous young woman but right now . . .she still needs to grow up. Those pictures are like a pedophile's mind playground. Her being topless is a HUGE no-no! She needs time to grow up. . .she doesn't even realize what those provocative poses/clothing are saying about her.

  7. Like I was telling the girls the other day, these photos bring me great discomfort. Stunning child, but she is a child. Period. This is too forward, you know?

  8. There is no doubt this girl is stunning. But that's just it, they shouldnt portray her as 'stunning' or 'sexy' and she sure as hell shouldnt be topless! She should be portrayed as a child. She has plenty of time to be a model!
    It breaks my heart whenever I see girls dressing waaay older than they are.
